Singapore 2011 ticket

I spent 3 days to finally decide to buy tickets from Tiger Airways, I'm going to Singapore by March 31 - April 26 '2011. Tickets are only for $0.64 , but the extras make it become $70.24. Tiger airways will take the Singapore Budget Terminal, it might not as comfortable as Terminal 1 & 2, but it save pretty much, around $20 compared to Air Asia promo tickets.

Please wish me the best luck in finding job at Singapore for better opportunity :)

Oh, i just watched Narnia : The Voyage of The Dawn Treader. I will always love Narnia movies. ^^ the fantasy is always great, the imagination is so sweet. However the most epic is Narnia : Prince Caspian, the 2nd one. But this one is also guuuud. miss the movie after 2 years.

This is one of my most favorite scene, when Lucy cast a spell to create snow.

ask! ask! ask!

just found a new quote that might shall be applied to be one of my life principle.

"If you want to know more, then ask! The worst thing can happen is a No answer. No big deal at all."

pre-bake experience is absolutely excluding any baking activity, which is reading the recipe. I've read some cooking recipe, but not baking recipe cos i always skip any baking recipe & focusing on the baking result pictures.

My mom is an incredible cooker & baker. She loves to bake so much and people admit that her cakes is taste good! However, I've never once participated in the baking process, spend most of my time tasting the cream or waste cakes and a little time in polishing the cream. I eat more than I make food. My first made cake was a steam one in my junior-school cooking class and my only baking experience is on cookies, which also got some hands by the house-assistant.

Few months ago, one of my love-to-bake-cousin, Monica who is now an active food-blogger, kindly sent me a package of black-sesame paste & seeds + a lovely envelope with a recipe card in it. I'm super excited for the card & envelope, they have this cute simple graphic on them. (please excuse me for being a graphic designer instead of a baker) I thought by that cute stationary set then I'll be excited to bake. But in fact, I haven't tried the recipe till today! till the paste is expired and now my mom is the one who wants to bake it.

............................. sorry sis, it just hasn't worked for me yet '_' the baking stuff. but would love to try it asap.

anyway, so here goes my first experience with cake-baking-recipe. I found 3 baking terms which forced me to google them to understand + an extra question to my mom.
1. fold in : you don't stir, but you take part of the mixture & bring up & over ...
2. stiff peaks : .......... still can't describe it in words.
3. soft peaks : so does this one, but i think i understand it. I think?

Gee..... even reading recipe is tough. -.-"
wish me luck in the future! hahaha...

Indonesian Nature Disasters

It is very sad that there're suddenly some huge disasters across Indonesia. Mt. Merapi explosion which has made the whole Yogyakarta city become white, covered by the volcanic ashes dust and now start to effect cities near by, including Bandung and capital city, Jakarta. The volcano is still gradually erupting after its first day on October 25th, 2010. I find these photos are fascinating anyway :P emotionally pictures. While all the living area in Mentawai Island, close to Padang City has been wiped out by 3 meters tsunami waves caused by 7.2 magnitude earthquake. Even though it's only 3m the effect is higher than just 3m waves, till now Volunteers are still find it difficult to distribute helps because of the challenging area.
As those who are still able to sleep and eat peacefully in our own home, please let us share some helps for them. We don't even have to scene to help, just donate a tiny little bit of your saving account for them. No matter how small it is, even $1 would help. I just can't move, am I ?

I wish to have new environment, and still I have to wait.

Oh well... you just can't ignore any opportunity of fortune.

It's my own decision though, blame no one.

Beside, who knows what may come.

Hello, School Girl

Just finish watching this korean movie. It was very light story and romance, with summer soft lighting. Love it much. I didn't know that the movie was adapted from comic. The artist name is Kang Full - his nickname and we can take a short reading from here. The comic drawings are so simple, pretty amazing how they can be so famous. I guess, a strong idea still able to cover the weak execution.
Every scene seems so cute. I like the 30 years old guy character, very adorable for a guy at his age. However the supporting character seems useless in this film. Haha... The Soundtracks are also super-great. Loveeee it!! Do Listen.

I have a friend who thinking full of plan about her future, one of it by not getting married too old so that the husband won't be too old when their kid(s) are growing up. Her consideration is that the dad might be passed away before able to see their grandchildren. After watching this movie, i feel more .... simple? I mean, look at the main actor, he was 30, and the girl was only 18. They just enjoy it, not thinking too much which make your life more simple. I just like the "mood, look and feel" the movie brought.

office stuffs lately

*never tell no one, kinda creepy. ternyata jadi petualang rasanya cemas-cemas-geli*
5. udah nulis planning setelah resign akhir november. banyakkk benerrr... '_'
6. ternyata hari ini dikasih offer menarik sama kantor, stationary? we'll see how it goes then.

Blue or Green?

I love almost every colors and their combinations that I never can recall my favorite one. But I don't understand why, but I always attracted to teal or turqoise color. Those somewhere-in-between colors.

A blue that is not yet a blue.
A green that is not yet a green.

Teal is a medium blue-green color.

Turquoise is a slightly greenish tone of cyan.

45 days notice

Finally... after months of thinking.
Yesterday I've stated it, my resignation statement. After 27 months working in JED, i've decided that this is the time of my life (as David Cook sing). Time to take the leap, try so many stuffs i haven't tried, pursuing my passion, and experience a lot in life so that i have so much to share with my kids about how grateful this life is.

So here goes the story about yesterday...

October 15th, 2010
I've even prepared my speech 2 days ago, but at the end all my structured sentences i've been practiced was ruin as the nerve mastered me. It was a pleasant light day, the work load is light and we even had a relax long lunch. When we get back to the office it was 2 pm and my heart started beating so fast and loud that i could hear it. I could feel the whole body had a trembling sensation. I knew that a light Friday could only be meaning one thing : short office hours. So I had to say it before 4 pm, meaning : two hours to go.

Then my break was finally come by 3.15 pm. "This is it. Now or Never!" I said to myself as always, coz I believe that procrastination never ends good (even though I keep doing it), if I don't have the courage to do it today, I never will have.

(NOTE : the way i said it, not as cool as it may sounds below, trust me it was chaotic!)
me : Jess, are you busy? *tremble*tremble*
J : Why?
me : I just want to know when are we exactly going to move to the new office?
J : dunno, when is it Erick?
E : Probably around this 2 weeks?
me : Well, I don't think I can come along with when you guys have moved there. The thing is, it was way to far. My current trip took 1.5 hours and I think if I moved there it'll add an extra half hour and I've been thinking that I've learned so much here and I've decided that it's time to move on. *there it goes*
J&E : *smile* good. good then. and it's good that you've told us now. We already have some people applying too.
me : yeah, and if you remember I've ever told Jess that I want to try to work at Singapore, so yeah...
J : good! It's good! we will a 100% support you.
E : yeah, it's a good thing. You should try to work else, try new things out of this country.
J : It's like Lina, you'll try to live alone, be independent. That is good.
me : well, I haven't quite decide what i want to do but probably will try to apply for Singapore. Beside, I have this kinda love about wedding, craft, decor details that I haven't tried and will never know how much I passion about them if I haven't done it myself.
E : haha... we don't do too much craft stuffs here, because we're having a lot of identity and branding stuffs the most.
J : ya, and beside there are some designs to do for a wedding too, you can also work a logo for it and others.
E: ya, we should learn a lot of things. Me, myself has probably work on anything that possible in design. So, till when are you planning to help us?
me : I don't mind if I have to work at the new office, only can't be too long, so probably till the end of November?
E : oh, ok then.
J : So if somewhat in the future when you still have no job and you would like to freelance for us. That's cool too. or if I'm overload might call you as well for some freelancing works.
me : yep2, anytime you need my help just call me. and I would like to thanks for everything I've had.
J&E : yap, thanks too.

aaaaaand... that's a wrap. that's it, I thought it will take an hour of conversation, but it was less than half an hour. hahahaha..... Oh gosh, I felt so nervous yesterday and the sensation hasn't gone till I got home. First timer. LOL. But I feel so relieve that I finally have said what I have to say. This is one good thing and I'm ready to plan (what next?) for my future. So much I want to do in life, experience a lot of stuffs is probably my most crucial goal, beside following my passion and having a good family. =D

It was a good day. I've said it properly. They took it well. and the most important thing is that my mom, ie2 angim and ima have arrived in Singapore safely. Thanks God! All the bless are with me all the time, couldn't have anything so smooth if it wasn't because of Your companion.

still remembering what cie2 Ony told me, when she said "I've decided to do my own baking" and her boss said "I'm glad that you've decided." wish you the best luck, cie!

I'm a fan of ....

people who success by perseveringly hard-worker, not just lay on some luck or talent or headline-gossip. but also attracted to people with genius talent in anything.

Agnes Monica
A talented girl with the same age as mine but has achieved much.
One of my inspiration beside many others.
She dream high, vision them, working very hard, and now she's in LA, preparing to be the first Indonesian artist who become American Music Awards 2010's host. She's going to red carpet co-host with Danny Gokey (American Idol top 3 finalist).
Amazing. Will be following her news to the "D" day.
I found this very inspiring article about Agnes Monica while in Asian Song Festival in Seoul.

Hi Typie!

Yesterday I bought myself a notebook that will be use only by me. This is so excited. I've been sharing a PC with the whole family till yesterday. This could only be meaning one thing, I finally able to write more. Yay! well, work more too of course. and browse more. hehehe...

I plan to buy a 15"macbookpro, however it cost way over the budget. Well, I'm really happy with this Rp.6kk notebook. I like the keyboard design, the touchpad, and the windows 7 i've just tried. Thinking of naming this ASUS K42JE notebook with Typie. =D

Awan Hitam

Bawaanku belakangan adalah marah-marah.
Pengen teriak-teriak, tapi jelas gak bisa teriak.

Rasanya hidup kok gak bebas banget, gak bisa teriak.

Jadi ujung2nya, semua ditahan terus, ditahan terus, ditahan terus.

Mo nangis pun, rasanya susah, besokannya matanya bengkak, diliatin lagi sama orang2.
bener-bener gak bebas.

Tipis sebenarnya, tapi sangat sulit dihadapi.

My current life design

summary : I'm an almost-2-years-graphic-designer who have been passing through some laid-back moments and hectic nights. I'm actually surrounded by so many source to great portfolios-to-be. My uncle has a not-so-well-designed-restaurant which i can refined. My cousin who's very talented in cupcakes-making whom already has a label for her part-time business, but hasn't had the logo for it. and last one, my aunt, whom currently asking me to do the whole graphic & branding for her ice-cream-business-to-be.

'_' just realizing how everyone in the family is share the same area for their business : FOOD.

and i was always amazed by food & beverage design, because you seems able to explore more and makes them look witty, funny, cute, pretty, or even elegant. I just love it. My direct-mail-college-project was about me pretending as a graphic house specialized in F&B design. I named it "break it fast" and made a sandwich-alike for the direct mail. Then it became my best experimental design. haha....

well, i love it though .... but the time left for me to do all the stuffs are only 9pm-morning before going back to office, where I'm currently employed. I sleep less, 3-5 hours per day and drinks coffee at the office now. (never addicted to it before). freakingly unhealthy.

Update : new other project to do : my brother is going to enter the coffee business, so... another food & beverage business in the family and to design. YAY! ahahahaha...

Negara dengan 3 Presiden

Sepertinya gara-gara menonton liputan rapat paripurna DPR kemarin, jiwa politis saya jadi terbakar.

iSay disclaimer : this article is purely my personal opinion without any further intention.

Damn, I Love Indonesia

Jadi, apakah Anda bangga menjadi bangsa Indonesia? Do you damn love Indonesia? SO HOW COULD I NOT DAMN LOVE INDONESIA?

"Nak, nak, ayo kamu nonton berita saja sana! Jangan menonton kartun melulu!" mungkin begitu kata orang tua si anak.

Jadi, pertanyaan kembali saya lontarkan, do you proud to be an Indonesian? do you damn love Indonesia? or even both or neither both? speak out your mind, you have the right to do so.

iSay disclaimer : this article is purely my personal opinion without any further intention.

I screw up lately

Thanks God, they create kaskus.
  6. terakhir, pikiran campur aduk. terima kasih.

Oreo Cheesecake Cupcakes

Looks yummy, found this post via b-splendid

Cookies and Cream Cheesecake Cupcakes

Makes 30 (Note: I halved this recipe and it was very easy)

  • 42 cream-filled sandwich cookies, such as Oreos, 30 left whole, and 12 coarsely chopped
  • 2 pounds cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Pinch of salt
  1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees. Line standard muffin tins with paper liners. Place 1 whole cookie in the bottom of each lined cup.
  2. With an electric mixer on medium high speed, beat cream cheese until smooth, scraping down sides of bowl as needed. Gradually add sugar, and beat until combined. Beat in vanilla.
  3. Drizzle in eggs, a bit at a time, beating to combine and scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed. Beat in sour cream and salt. Stir in chopped cookies by hand.
  4. Divide batter evenly among cookie-lined cups, filling each almost to the top. Bake, rotating pan halfway through, until filling is set, about 22 minutes. Transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Refrigerate at least 4 hours (or up to overnight). Remove from tins just before serving.

Phoenix - 1901

I've been listening to this song a lot, which means UH LOT! This song is very cool in everything. should listen to it. Oh, and the band, Phoenix, it's a grammy-award-winning French alternative rock band. :D and now I'm start to youtubing more songs from them. All are GREAT! Lisztomania? gonna be my next fave song too and many more to come. hihihihi..... enjoy...

The lyric itself, I find it in an advanced-level for a karaoke session. :P

Counting all different ideas drifting away
Past and present — they don’t matter.
Now the future’s sorted out
you’re moving in elliptical pattern
Think it’s not what you say
What you say is way too complicated
For a minute thought I couldn’t tell how to fall out.

It’s 20 seconds ’til the last call,
going “hey hey hey hey hey hey”
Lie down, you know it’s easy
like we did it all summer long
And I’ll be anything you ask and more,
going “hey hey hey hey hey hey”

It’s not a miracle we needed,
and no I wouldn’t let you think so
Falling, falling, falling, falling

Girlfriend, you know your girlfriend’s drifting away
Past and present, 1855-1901
Watch them build up a material tower
Think it’s not gonna stay anyway
Think it’s overrated
For a minute, thought I couldn’t tell how to fall out

It’s 20 seconds to the last call,
going “hey hey hey hey hey”
Lie down, you know it’s easy,
like we did it all summer long
And I’ll be anything you ask and more,
going “hey hey hey hey hey”

It’s not a miracle we needed,
and no, I wouldn’t let you think so

Falling, falling, falling, falling
Falling, falling, falling, falling

New Link Coming Up...

I just realize how I keep finding new interesting blogs and websites when I browse, and just can't resist to keep the links for several of great blogs. After a really (deep) thoughts, (detail) consideration and (tight) selection, I finally keep some at my blog's link menu. But somehow, I just realize how the links-list keep increasing a lot and lot more lately. '_' I even have to post it on my Passionee blog to keep the links without increasing the list. You probably aren't hesitate to open them, but the links just become my exercise when I get bored while browsing, so I open almost all of them. hahaha...

anyhoooo, I just found the new comer in my link menu. This one is one of those great one. A dessert blog, also provided by nice pictures and recipe along with it. I present to you.....

definition of "miss"

exactly! THIS IS WHY I LIKE TUMBLR, via: siluetkucing

one of moi fave quote

one of my fave quote comes from my own friends.
you'll never know where the best might pop out.
probably just coming from the one next to you.

okeiiii...... berlebihan.

agak konyol ajah sih... ceritanya tadi abis ngobrol2 sama kucing, trus si kucing ngasih tau ke saya biasanya orang yang lagi mabuk hati itu ngapain ajah, seperti apa ajah kelakuannya, dll.

mendadak merasa go!Blog karena......

Tapi ahh... kayaknya sih cuman dibawa pikiran ajah.

jadii...... jadi apa? kaga tau? kenapa gw nulis jadi? kenapa gak gue dilet ajah? kenapa gue jadi banyak omong? kenapa gue maju terus tanpa mencet tombol dilet? OHOHOHO.... Andai pas nulis cerita bisa kayak gini, this is so fun! Just write everything that across your mind without even mind to edit it for now. ihihihi....

okelah, saya mengaku. Fenomena maju terus tanpa neken tombol dilet bisa diakibatkan karena badan udah meronta-ronta minta ditidurin (please, read it in a positive way), begitu pula dengan otak dan kepala, tetapi hati belum mengijinkannya...

PERFECT! i just stumble through kucing's tumblr and found this : ah... engga engga.... it must be matter in other ways. saya percaya... ya ya...

When I get inspired at night, I...

1. browsing too much
2. writing so long, and forgetting the time
3. stay up till pass midnight
4. looking for guilty pleasure food/beverage (I just drank a half of coke glass with lots of ice)
5. have so many ideas about "to-do-list" in my head
6. feel so upset when I have to shut it down because of the time (especially when tomorrow is still a working day)

Book : The Alchemist

Just finished reading The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
One of those inspiring books I've ever read.
what i love about it:
  • it encourages you to fight for what you dream of, instead of stuck at the "what you see".
  • it talks a lot about this whole world's natural chemistry, makes you appreciate nature even more.
  • the details and poetic description about everything, to "see through" not just look.

Korean Girls Band Fever

Some of my guy-friends are currently addicted to Korean Girls band.
SNSD (girls' generation) is the most.
well, I have to admit, the girls got a catchy bit in their songs, they look pretty (in that innocent looks, as what the guys said), fashionably cute, and their dance choreography is just great.

Their guy-looks suits in this video is looks awesomely great, combined with the dance.

sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry........
I love my life when I know what I want to do.
